He was predeceased by: his former wife Mary K. "Kit" Garrett; his son Donnie Garrett; his grandchildren, Little Donnie Garrett, Jr. and Destiny Garrett; his parents, Lester Garrett and Hulda Garrett; and his siblings, Hollis Garrett, Wilford Garrett and Linda Connell.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Garrett; his sons, Dwayne Garrett (Elizabeth) and Dwight Garrett (Amanda); his daughter-in-law Karen Garrett; and his brothers, Frank Garrett and Willie Garrett. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 15th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Monday, September 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Sosebee Funeral Home (191 Jarvis St, Canton, GA 30114). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 16th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
