We are sad to announce that on July 25, 2023, at the age of 88, Geraldine Sawyer of Acworth, Georgia, born in Milford, Massachusetts passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Geraldine Sawyer to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Nicholas DiVittorio and Clara DiVittorio (Tosches); her husband Ernest "Buzz" Sawyer; her brother Rudolph "Rudy" DiVittorio; and her granddaughter Kristen Paige Spurlock.

She is survived by: her brother Nicholas P. DiVittorio (Linda) of Harwich, MA; her daughters, Lynne Spurlock (Tom) of Acworth, GA, Janice Tucker (Elbert) of Mt. Juliet, TN, Elaine Tarpley (Todd) of Acworth, GA and Karen Sawyer of Acworth, GA.; and her grandchildren, Austin Spurlock (Taylor), Faith Tucker, Reed Tucker, Dallas Eberle, Lane Eberle, Sawyer Tarpley and Michaela Tarpley.

In honor of her memory, the family requests donations be made to MUST Ministries in Marietta, GA (http://www.mustministries.org).

“My deepest sympathy to all of the family. I was excited to find Gerry after all the years together at work but we just never did connect sad because we lived so close to each other now. We had good times together-the Yellow Daisy Festival was an annual event and several trips to Boaz. AL to the outlet malls-many moons ago they were the only outlet malls. Gerry loved to share about her 4 daughters and all her grandchildren. Gerry at peace with the Lord in Heaven, for eternity. RIP Gerry.”
