She was predeceased by: her parents, Tommie Garrison and Henry Garrison; her husband Denver Dee Hughes Sr.; her sister Edna Carruth; her brother-in-law Ernest Carruth; and her son-in-law Timothy Taylor.

She is survived by: her friend Patsy; her children, Denver Hughes Jr. (Barbara), Davey Hughes, Patti Brock (Michael) and Penni Taylor; and her sister Doris Dulaney (Bruce). She is also survived by seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
