He was predeceased by: his parents, George Theron Newman and Laquita Whitman Newman; and his brother Kenneth "Pete" Newman. He is survived by: his son Adam Keith Newman (Julie Newman) of Cordele; his grandchildren, Halle Newman and Ansley Newman; his daughter Nicole Rhodes (Wes Rhodes) of Perry; his granddaughter Lily Rhodes; his brother Kelvin "Bo" Newman of Orlando, Fla.; and his pet Lucy.
