He is survived by: his wife Sandra Salyer of Zolfo Springs, Florida; his children, David Salyer, Jr. of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, Bonnie Sorge of Bunnell, Nicole Sailor of Michigan, Patricia "Trish" Johnson of Sarasota and Cara Nederveen of The Netherlands; and his siblings, Bob Salyer "Glenn" of Andalusia, Bill Salyer of Brookston, Larry Salyer of Houston, Texas and Barbara Sue Staulbaum of Vinegrove, Kentucky. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
