He was predeceased by: his parent James Stephenson; his son Brett E. Bennett; his siblings, Sharon Kunkle and Carol Jarboe; and his son-in-law Billy Nelson.
He is survived by: his parent Doris Stephenson (Cox); his wife Shirley M. Bennett (Lancaster); his children, Jimmy D. Bennett (Annette Sizemore), Terry, Frank Reeves, Sherry, Michael Speer, Tina, Elliot Morales, Tammy, Johnny Gonzalez, Marlo Bennett and Victor Washington; his sisters, Marcia Spainhoward, Glenda Smith and David Gilliland; and his sister-in-law Barbara Bennett. He is also survived by two grandchildren, and twenty-six great-grandchildren.
