He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Burton Ayres and Barbara Jean Emerson; and his son Steven Todd Ayres. He is survived by: his wife Pat Ayres; his daughters, Stephanie Slutz (Dave) and Heather Korteway (Charlie); his siblings, Joel Ayres (Karen), Randy Ayres (Colleen) and Patti Smith (Dennis); his grandchildren, Josh Ayres, Hanna Ayres, Nick Slutz, Carly Slutz and Jacob Steidle; his great grandchild Kaison Steidle; his nieces and nephews, Jennifer Ayres, Shelbi, Bayli Smith, Jon Ayres, David Ayres (Jennifer) and Matthew Ayres (Cecilia); his great-nephews, Quentin Ayres, Benjamin Ayres, Karter Ayres and Kalin Ayres; and his great-niece Raquel Ayres.
