He was predeceased by: his parents, Porter A. Franklin and Edith Esther Franklin (Stinson); and his sons, John P. Franklin, Jr. and Jerry Franklin. He is survived by: his wife Jeanette; his children, Jack Franklin of Tuscola, IL and Jeanie Humphreys of Zephyrhills, FL; and his sister Katie Colwell of Florida.
