He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Holmes and Eva Holmes; his mother-in-law Barbara Roberson; his wife Barbara Holmes; his children, Teri Kachler (Jack) and Scott Holmes (Tracey); and his grandchildren, Krystal Kachler, Doug Kachler and Sara Kachler.
