He is survived by: his children, Diana Osteen, James Osteen, Rebecca Tillman (Robert), Cynthia Self (Ken) and Buttons Croy; his siblings-in-law, Margie Mitchell, Glenda Jernigan and Verlyn Montgomery; and his caregiver Lisa Welch (Alice Doss). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren.

“I met Howard years ago at FOP meeting’s I found out he was an Air Force cop veteran.I invited him to go with me to MacDill Air Force Base,Air Force Security Forces Association meeting.He enjoyed the meeting and joined the Association.Howard was a wonderful man and very given person he cared about everyone.Howard will be missed by all.RIP Tony Santos”
