He was predeceased by: his parents, William Kessler and Freida Kessler (Lutz); his siblings, Joanne Kovac, William Kessler, Joyce Williford, Janet Gainor and Jackie Voss; and his daughter Jeanette "Jan" Kessler.
He is survived by: his wife Irene Newton; and his children, William Kessler (Kay), Deborah Flanigan (Lou), David Kessler (Cheryl), Robert Kessler (Jane Porrett), Thomas Kessler (Kris) and Michael Kessler (Rich Montgomery). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren.
