He is survived by: his wife Helen Kates of Zellwood, FL; his children, Donna Meyer of Apopka, FL and Bruce Kates (Kimberly) of Wentzville, MO; his grandchildren, Pam Flor (Chris), Lisa Meyer, Aaron Kates and Ethan Kates; his great grandchildren, Emily Flor and Hannah Flor; and his siblings, Earl Kates (Karen) of Linton, IN and Thelma Kates. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
