He was predeceased by: his parents, Estelle Alexander Pope and Ruth Anne Thornburg Pope. He is survived by: his wife Deloris H. Pope; his children, Cheryl Lynn VanWey (Donald Eugene), Kenneth Charles Snowball, John Ellis Pope, Jr., Robert Leon Pope and Tammy Michelle Pope-Smith (Mutt); his grandchildren, Christopher Little, Courtney VanWey, Dylan Rhind, Kylee Pope, Robert O'Steen (Robbie) and Amanda Keene; and his great grandchildren, Kalli Sharp, Kayla Sharp and Emberlee O'Steen.
