With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James A. Jones of Yulee, Florida, born in Harlem, Georgia, who passed away on March 2, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Levi and Beatrice Grant Jones; his wife Sandra Lucy McGovern Jones; and his sister Betty Staples (Samuel Staples). He is survived by: his daughters, Terri D. Gilmore (late Richard Gilmore), Sherri D. Gilder (Jerry Gilder) and Erin N. Companion (Robert T. Companion); his grandchildren, Richard, Ashlyn Gilmore, Noah Gilder, Kayla Companion and Caden Companion; and his siblings, Geraldine Nau (Robert Nau) and Barry Wayne Jones. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.
