He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Hickox and Viola Hickox; his daughter Marie Evans; and his brothers, Thomas Hickox, Bert Hickox and Wiley Hickox.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Lou Hickox; his children, James Lee Hickox (Eunice), Margie Hatton, Melba Hickox and Belinda Peeples (Robbie); and his siblings, Middie Hickox (Dana), Robert Hickox, Claude Hickox (Katherine), Freida Woodcock (Earl) and Faye Sauls. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
