We bid farewell to Betty Lou Hickox of Yulee, Florida, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 17, 2024 at the age of 90. Betty touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband James Hickox; her stepdaughter Marie Evans; her parents, Bert Evatt and Edna Evatt; and her siblings, Vivian Freeman, LaVan Cardell, Lillian Ryals, Nita Wilder, Margaret Jones, Junior Evatt and Forest Evatt.
She is survived by: her daughter BeLinda Peeples (Robbie); her stepchildren, Margie Hatton, Melba Hickox and James Lee "Jimmy" Hickox (Eunice); her siblings, Clara Bass and Pete Evatt; her grandson Mark Gearis; and her great grandchild Abigail Gearis. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Stephens Chapel at Green Pine Funeral (96281 Green Pine Rd, Yulee, FL 32097). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
