He was predeceased by: his parents, Glover Bostic Raker and Lois Griffin Raker; his former wife Betty Jane Walker Raker; his wife Laveda Hodge Raker; and his grandson Silas "Sie" Raker.
He is survived by: his children, Overton Raker (Alice), Patricia Crosby (Bruce), Marilyn Granger (Rodney), Nannie Woodward (Eddie) and Beth VanSchaick (Robert). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Camp Gordon Johnston Museum (850-697-8575, [email protected]) Skip and Trey Young are assisting the family with arrangements.
