He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Salsman and Gertrude Woodruff Salsman; his brother Gene Salsman; his siblings-in-law, Lilly Salsman, Walter Reed, Bert Godown and Thomas Gay; his parents-in-law, Edward Sr. and Margaret Honeywell; his nephews, Christopher Reed and Timothy Brek; and his niece Linda Lee Godown.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Honeywell; his children, Dell Salsman (Wendy) of Mehoopany, PA, Scott Salsman (Tammy Bocchino) of Laceyville, PA and Kylie Salsman (Kenny Yeung) of Casselberry, FL.; his grandchildren, Eric Salsman, Taylor Schwartz (George), Veronica Salsman, Kai Lin Yeung, Mei Lin Yeung and Korben Yeung; his great grandchildren, Lylia Salsman and Grace Salsman; his siblings, Beverly Reed of Hanover, PA, Sharon Chaney (Bill) of Montrose, PA, Andrea Sterling (Mason) of Laceyville, PA, Judie Muench (Bill) of Laceyville, PA, Roseanna Carroll (Kevin) of Elmira, NY and Donna Zaner (Scott) of Tunkhannock, PA; his uncle Carl Salsman of Laceyville, PA; and his siblings-in-law, Janice Godown, Carole Brek (Tim), Cathy Gay and Edward "Skip" Honeywell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
