He was predeceased by: his parents, Jefferson Stephen and Berniece Stephen (Dees) of Marmaduke, Arkansas.; his brother Berneil Stephen; his sister-in-law Verbel Stephen; his brother Freddie Gene Stephen; and his brother-in-law Darrell Nolen.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Stephen (Greenway); his children, John Stephen, Joseph Stephen, Naomi Stouder and Sarah Nace; and his sisters, Joyce Nolan and JoNell Kubiak. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
