He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo V. Veates, Sr. and Rossie Ross Veates; and his wife Velma Hardin. He is survived by: his daughter Sharon; his son-in-law Larry Stevens of Longwood, Florida; his grandsons, Jared Stevens (Megan Stevens) of Winter Springs, Florida and Bret Stevens of Altamonte Springs, Florida; and his great grandchildren, Tripp Stevens of Winter Springs, Florida and Piper Stevens of Winter Springs.
