He was predeceased by: his father Carlos G. Garcia. He is survived by: his mother Maria Maldonado; his wife Mael Garcia; his sisters, Odalys Bonenfant and Cindy Garcia; and his children, Cynthia Garcia, Daniel Garcia, Brittany Garcia-Railey and Andrew Garcia. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
