It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Lee Wise (Winter Park, Florida), who passed away on August 2, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Thornell and Gertrude Thornell; her parents-in-law, Stuart H. Wise, Sr. and Evelyn Wise; her brother-in-law Bill Chapman; and her sister Renee Templeton.

She is survived by: her husband Herb; her daughters, Pam Magee (Dan) and Paula Rodriguez (Fred); her grandchildren, Tyler (Tori), Trevor (Gwen), Taylor, Andrew, Michael, Meagan (Alex) and Jeff (Ashley); her siblings, Rebekah Thornell, Anna Cochran (Dave), Christina McGowan, Louis Thornell, Carolyn Brodsky and Mariea Helfrich; and also, Blake, Annaliese, Alexander and Jane Chapman. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

“I met Karen many years ago, not too long after we moved to the Orlando area in 1978. She was always a very kind, gentle person, full of faith and love for her family. I always admired her for her faith. She held on to the hem of Jesus' garment and refused to let go. She knew that her Redeemer lives! I am so sorry for your loss, but I pray you are comforted in the sure and certain promise of the resurrection of the dead, and the knowledge that she is in the place Jesus that has prepared for her!”
