He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Manuel Medina and Mercedes Rodriguez; his siblings, Victor, Angel and Antonio Medina; and his son Ricky Medina.
He is survived by: his wife Lilliam A. Caceres; his children, Linda Merino (Juan), Asia Saltmarsh (Tom), Lilly McDermott (Robert) and Manuel "Mel" Medina; and his siblings, Oscar, Wilfredo Medina, Lucy Rudes and Eva Sanchez. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 13th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St Margaret Mary Catholic Church (526 N Park Ave, Winter Park, FL 32789). The military honors was held on Friday, September 13th 2024 at the Oaklawn Cemetery (5000 Co Rd 46A, Sanford, FL 32771).
