Edna James Goree Obituary

We are sad to announce that on August 11, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Edna James Goree. (Winter Park, Florida). Edna was predeceased by her husband, Charles, and her children Cynthia, Judy, and Richard Charles. She was also predeceased by her parents Dallas and Alonzo James, and all of her sisters, Dixie, Minnie Jo, as well as many other family members.

We know that she was welcomed into Heaven by her many loved ones. Survivors: Nephew, Doyle E. Black, wife Daphanie, and Niece, Mary Lorraine (Lorri) Thomas, with husband Joshua and several grandnieces and a nephew as well as many great grandnieces.

Our Aunt Edna was such a kind and giving soul. She was an air force wife willing to serve and travel and go anywhere. She served many through the Shriners, not just financially but also dedicated a lifelong physical service to needful families. Edna was active in all charities at the Shriners. If there was a need, she would find a way to give and help others. Rest in Peace Aunt Edna. We will miss you dearly. Until we meet again and may God bless you.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 21st 2020 at 3:00 PM at the Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home (7520 Aloma Ave, Winter Park, FL 32792).
