He was predeceased by: his parents, William Chester and Thelma Louise Thompson Robinson; his brothers, Ross, William, Ronnie Eugene and Dale Robinson; and his grandson John Skipper.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Robinson; his children, Amy Simpson (Todd), Jaron Skipper and Amber Brady (Jered); his grandchildren, Gauge Ives, Lakin Ives, Emma Skipper, Gunner Simpson, Garon Simpson and Kaylor Brady; and his siblings, David Robinson (Terri), Darlene Kellum, Karen Griffin and Mark Robinson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
