He was predeceased by: his parents, Raleigh Welch and Ruby Mae Welch (Dixon); his daughter Ronda Jean Welch; and his siblings, Helen Welch Plumley, Hazel Welch Choate, Paul David Welch, Sr., Glen Owen Welch and Lonnie Carl Welch.
He is survived by: his children, Kim Strickland (Butch), Scott Welch, Lynn King and Ronnie Welch (Machelle); his grandchildren, Ciara Jade Arceneaux (Aaron), Kaydan Nicole Strickland, Ronnie Allen Welch Jr. and Morgan Elizabeth Welch; and his great grandchildren, Grayson Reed, Kai Oliver, Serenity Elizabeth and Cole Avery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Florida Cattlemen's Foundation, Good Shepherd Hospice, the Lakeland Runners Club or Victory Ridge Academy in Lake Wales.
