He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Christine Hawkins and Willie Monroe Strenth; and his daughter Dawn Michelle Mull. He is survived by: his children, Melissa Strenth, James Weldon Strenth, Jr. (Michael), Anthony John Howard, Sr. (Amanda) and Cherish Inette Tarbox; his siblings, Carolyn May (James), Nelda Crook (Tom), Roy Strenth (Wanda) and Bruce Strenth (Janet); and his grandchildren, Hunter Mull, Anthony John Howard, Jr., Allura Howard, Christopher Tarbox, Alexandria Strenth, Dylan Cofty, Daniel Cofty, Raymond Cowart and Rachel Cowart. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and extended family.
