He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Joseph Kovarik and Charlotte Louise Hudson; his wife Irma Deanne "Dee" Kovarik; and his brother Charles Joseph Kovarik. He is survived by: his children, Walter Kovarik, Laurel K. Ferro (John) and Tamara K. Maidhof; his grandchildren, Heather Hutchinson (Justin), Robert Maidhof (Amanda), Tiffany Pawson (Chris), Dane Kovarik (Cierra) and Blake Kovarik; and his great grandchildren, Bryce Hutchinson, Brielle Hutchinson, Tucker Hutchinson, Ember Maidhof and Tessa Maidhof.
