He was predeceased by: his parents, John Garriss and Betty Garriss (Burdette). He is survived by: his wife Gail Anne Garriss (Peters); his children, Kenneth Garriss of Windemere and Melissa Carpenter (Garriss); his son-in-law Peter S. Carpenter of Forest Hill, Maryland; his siblings, Peggy Garriss of Abingdon, Sue Haynes of Leesburg, Florida and Brian Garriss; his sister-in-law Donna Garriss of Davenport, Florida; and his granddaughters, Grace Elaine Carpenter and Lily Anne Carpenter of Forest Hill, Maryland.. He is also survived by family, Dan leaves many beloved nieces and nephews.
