We are sad to announce that on July 13, 2020, at the age of 92, Gladys Myrtle Adams in Windermere, Florida, born in Danville, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her son Derek Adams; her parents, Jessie Ferguson Hogue and Junius J. Hogue; her brother Douglas Hogue; and her grandparents, Mary Wilson Ferguson and George Ferguson.

She is survived by: her daughters, Sylvia Gibson and Andrea Adams-Zuhri; her son-in-law Michael Gibson; her siblings, Verna Hogue Revell, Carolyn Hogue Battle, Clifton Hogue and Floyd Hogue; and her grandchildren, Dekel Zuhri, Jafar Zuhri, Joseph De'lon Adams, Jonathan Gibson, Marcus Gibson and Spencer Gibson. She is also survived by family members and her many friends.

Ultimately, the formidable coronavirus covid-19 proved to be the battle that she could not win.
