She was predeceased by: her husband Gerald Simmons. She is survived by: her children, Linda Simmons, Steve Simmons (Chere) and Rickie Simmons (Yvonne); her grandchildren, Chrissy Hartzog (Dan), Rickie Simmons Jr., Ty Simmons (Jennifer), Jared Hodge, Timmy Simmons (Kim) and Marcus Wilson; her great grandchildren, Carlie Simmons, Hannah Simmons, Asher Simmons, Emma Hartzog, Eli Simmons, Andrew Simmons and Nora Hartzog; her sister Vonda Cunningham (Harry III); and her cousin June Sumner. She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Martha's name to Simmons Loop Baptist Church.
