She was predeceased by: her parents, Marcelino Valdes and Marina Valdes; her uncle Pedro; her aunt Consuelo Sosa (Nena); her brother Marcelino Valdes Jr.; and her nephew Marc Valdes.

She is survived by: her husband Robert Riggins (Bob); her sister Marta Crawford; her sisters-in-law, Donna Valdes and Janet Riggins; and her nieces and nephews, Tanya Fernandez (Louis), Beth Coelho (Vitor), Kathy Tousignant (Tom), Manny Mendoza and Michael Valdes.
