He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Beatrice Harvey and Taylor Harvey; his wife Aviva Esther Harvey (Shulman); his children, Elizabeth Anne Bulthuis (Eric), Stephen Barrett Harvey, Amanda Barrett Harvey and Brian David Harvey; his grandchildren, Carmen Elizabeth Bulthuis and Jackson Barrett Davis; and his brothers, Taylor Campbell Harvey and Stephen William Ring. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
