He was predeceased by: his wife Janice Brooks; his father Willie Brooks Jr.; and his sister Debbie Wilkerson. He is survived by: his children, Dr. Anelsa Blunt (Russell), Nikki Brooks, Willie Brooks IV, Akeen Brooks (Felicia), Dedrick Brooks, Melissa Brooks, Cordaryl Brooks and Monte of Washington; his mother Loretta Brooks; and his siblings, Kathy Brooks-Judkins, Cedrick Brooks and Thelma Brooks. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
