He was predeceased by: his father Don Wayne Fortner; and his grandparents, Horace, Edith Fortner, Louie and Corrine Allen.
He is survived by: his son William Wayne Fortner; his mother Brenda Slaughter (Billy Slaughter) of Williston, Florida.; his brother William Grady Fortner (Michelle Lynn Fortner); his uncle Ricky Allen; his nieces and nephews, Lena Fortner (Gracie), Trip Fortner, Abigayle Hampton and Lillian Hampton; and his cousins, Clay and Shelly.
