“Dear Buster, Connie and San, I was shocked and saddened to hear from a friend of your mom's passing last week. Aria and I have been friends for more than 30 years, working together at the VA. We went to movies together and for chicken wings and exchanged many cards and letters. I cannot wholly believe yet I can't just pick up the phone and call her. She and Leon stopped by just last month at my birthday. We used to laugh about rocking on our front porches together when we "got old." Jan Ripley”
