He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Egger and Elizabeth Egger (Hawkins); and his brother Zepp Egger. He is survived by: his wife Debra R. Egger "Stella"; his children, Arron, Melissa Egger, Laura Egger, Kathy, Terry Caple, Becky, Keith Lakvold and A. J. Nielson; and his siblings, Glenn, Terri Egger, Peg and Bob Sayer.
