It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry E Smitherman of Wildwood, Florida, born in Winston Salem, North Carolina, who passed away on January 28, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, David Hampton Smitherman and Para Smitherman (Brown); his wife Louise; his sons, Richard Eugene Smitherman (Winona), David Jeffrey Smitherman (Ted) and Steven Scott Smitherman; his sister Carolyn Lawhon; and his grandchildren, Alyssa Jade Smitherman, Christopher Scott Smitherman, Richard Tucker Smitherman and Kacey Shea Drake. He was also cherished by 5 great-grandchildren.
Due to the pandemic, the family will plan a celebration of life in the future.
