He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Dyess and Myra Dyess; his wife Theda Dyess; his son Drew Dyess; and his brother Jessie Dyess.
He is survived by: his son John Dyess (Dory); his grandsons, Brad Dyess (Crystal) and Keith Dyess; and his great grandchildren, Jase Dyess, Ava Dyess and Madison Dyess.
