He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Vernon and Era Vernon (Dunnivant); his siblings, LeRoy, Laten, Joe and Frances; and his children, Randy, Ronnie, Shawn Strickland and Nicole West.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Vernon of Wildwood, FL; and his children, Jeff Vernon (Jennifer) of Deland, FL, Shane Vernon (Becky) of Daytona, FL, Shannon Strickland (Robin) of West Columbia, TX, Sonny Strickland (Donna) of Waycross, GA, Michelle Perry (Chris) of Maine and Lori A. Strickland Colon of Waycross, GA. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and many loving fur babies.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the New Life Church (201 E Lavista St, Fruitland Park, FL 34731).
