It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gene Allan Whitaker (Wildwood, Florida), born in Bloomington, Illinois, who passed away on April 14, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Sr. Whitaker and Lucille M. Whitaker (Fischer); and his brother Rex Whitaker. He is survived by: his daughters, Vicki Replogle (Chuck) of Kimmell and Kelly Parks (Tony) of The Villages; his brother Virgil Whitaker (Leslie) of Fairfax; and his grandchildren, Cris (Kendra Replogle), Aaron (Kaila Replogle) and Brittany (Justin Blotkamp). He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to "Brandon A. Replogle 'Pay it Forward'" (P.O. Box 143 Kimmell, Indiana 46760), a fund in his grandson's memory that benefits young people seeking higher education or mission service in the West Noble area (Ligonier, Indiana and surrounding areas).
