She was predeceased by: her parents, George McDowell and Emma McDowell; her husband Allen Sterner; and her siblings, Beatrice Murphy, George McDowell and Charles McDowell.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Conboy (John), Janet Daly (George), Diane Cole (late Ronald), Jeffrey Sterner, Lisa, Brendan, Bryan, Shaine, Nathan, Jesse, Ashleigh, Jackie and Laura. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
