He was predeceased by: his parents, David Abbott and Alfreda Abbott; and his siblings, David, Donald, Robert Abbott and Dorothy Harrington.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Abbott (Lackie); his children, Arthur Jr. (Joan), Steven (Barbara), David (Caron), William Abbott and Cheryl Johnston (Thomas); and his brother Earl Abbott.
