He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Franklin and Sarah Touchton Fouraker; his wife Betty; his grandson Wesley Franklin Smith; and his siblings, Mary Harris, Amy Claxton, Pearlie Bonnell Fouraker and Pearsall Fouraker Sr..
He is survived by: his son Jim Smith (Teena); his grandson Jimmy Smith (Denice); and his sisters, Avis Cason and Lula Herring (Gerald). He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandsons.
