He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Wilson C. and Miley Hand; his wife Betty Jean Hand (Frost); his siblings, Myrtle Hair Day, Virginia Hand Anderson (Jean) and Jesup W. Hand, Sr.; his daughter Debby Swearingin (Clyde); his siblings, Nell Kirkland (Hand) and Rev. Clarence Hand, Sr.; his grandsons, Wayne (Tracy) and James Swearingin (Carrie); his great grandchildren, Kenneth (Courtney), Matthew, Hunter, Levi and Javan Swearingin; and his great great grandchildren, Isabella and Emmalyn Swearingin.
