It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Claude McGill Sr. of Wewahitchka, Florida, who passed away on July 18, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Claude McGill Sr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmo McGill and Ada McGill; and his siblings, Richmond, Johnny, Charles McGill, Gladys Odom and Joyce Raley.
He is survived by: his wife Bertie McGill (Daniels); his children, Lynn Barnes (Keith), Carolyn, Iris Scurlock (Eddie) and Claude McGill Jr. (Lynn); his grandchildren, Shanon Kyser (Justin), Krystal Hendricks, Heather Braxton (Brian), Laura Suber (Jeremy), Holly Burnett (Jordan), Taylor, Travis McGill (Katie), Trent McGill (Jessica), Trey McGill (Amelia), Haley Scurlock (Tyler Ballard), Tripp McGill, Blake Barnes (Caitlin) and Brett Barnes (Crysta); his great grandchildren, Tanner Kyser, Laila Suber, Landon Suber, Noelle Kyser, Emma Braxton, Ellie Braxton and Ava Barnes; his siblings, Pearl Via (Ralph) and Ronald McGill; his sisters-in-law, Lucille McGill and Jane Ann McGill; and his close friends, Jason and Amy Miller. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, the family has requested that all attendees wear face covering and abide by social distancing guidelines.
Expressions of sympathy in the form of flowers will be accepted or those that desire may make a donation in memory of Claude McGill to the Kinard Volunteer Fire Department.
