He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Ann; his parents, Ingram Adkison and Carrie Adkison; and his siblings, Shell, Tom and Beulah Mae.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Adkison (Pam), Carlos Adkison, Jr. (Diana), Vicki Armstrong (Kenny Wayne) and Carrie Raughton (Dallas); his sisters, Bennie Hunter and Sue Workman; and his grandchildren, Chris, Greg, Samantha, Jon, Joey, Megan, Malcolm, Jennifer, Katie, Jill, Shelby, Thomas, Natalie and Alex.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
