It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alton Herbert Whitfield of Wewahitchka, Florida, who passed away on August 12, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Herbert Whitfield and Cora Lee Whitfield; and his siblings, Frank Whitfield, Jimmy Whitfield, Freddie Whitfield and Elnita Whitfield.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy Gayle Whitfield; his children, Leslie Williams (Barry), Julie Newman (Michael), Missy Mosley (Bill), Mildred Melvin (Craig) and Philip Adkison (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Colby, Connor, Caedyn, Cortland (Chandler Newman), Matt (Megan Mosley), Tyler (Ethan Adkison) and Sydney (Connor Melvin); and his siblings, Sue Hanlon (John), Pinky Bell and Pete Rhames. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any charity or church of your choice in honor of Al Whitfield.
