He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Sylvester and Essie Rubean Jordan McDonald; his wife Mary Sheralyn Grice McDonald; his son William Elton McDonald, Jr.; and his sister Tommie Sue McDonald Outlaw.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra McDonald Pope (Jeffery) and Gregory Scott McDonald; his grandchildren, Jeffery Kyle Pope, Kassandra Pope Day (Billy), William Bradly McDonald (Heather) and Megan McDonald Forehand (Matthew); his great grandchildren, Makayla, Cielo Day, Naomi, Isaac Esparza, A. J. Forehand, Seanna Sheppard and Alex McDonald; and his siblings, Luveral McDonald (Ann), Harold McDonald (Virginia) and Hazel Garner (Joe). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
