He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Nowlin and Alma Nowlin; his son Joseph E. Nowlin Jr.; and his siblings, Albert Nowlin, Leroy Nowlin, Margaret Vaughn and Audrey Dial.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Nowlin; his sons, Wade Nowlin (Rene) and Joe Nowlin (Karen); his grandchildren, Christina Watkin (JoVaughn) and Crystle Greene; his great grandchildren, Cody Greene, Aden Greene, Harly Greene and McKenna Case; and his siblings, Robert Nowlin (Silvia), Rachel Meadows (Bill) and Sarah Vaughn (Bob). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Callaway Cemetery (116 N Bob Little Rd, Panama City, FL 32404).
